What if you could only have a sample of a feast?

What if you were told you could have this awesome food, but the catch was, you have to eat the same thing everyday? It's like the  most common way of bringing people to Jesus. Which in fact, was my first step towards Christ. You are approached by a believer, they "introduce" you to Christ, and leave you to fight off the legions that would destroy the seed that God might have planted in you. I feel like there tends to be almost no accountability between those new to the faith and others. It's like getting a sample at a store, you taste only a little of the goodness, but do not know the way to the feast. You need others who can be a part of your walk with Christ. That causes us to partake of the abundance of God's feast. It is the fuel our spirit needs to be nourished and continue to bring us closer to our King. That's why we cannot do this alone.

As in Michael Card's lyrics:

Come to the table He's prepared for you
The bread of forgiveness, the wine of release
Come to the table and sit down beside Him
The Savior wants you to join in the feast

Christ wants his children to come to the feast. He needs us to be his vessels of the Good News. Beyond reading out of the Bible, praying, and quality time with him. We need to be changed by him to bear his Son in us, not just in our hearts, but to take control of our entire lives. May this be so!
